A COMMITMENT TO PLACE AND PEOPLE.

Teton Ridge Ranch Foundation invests in the long-term well-being of Teton Valley, Idaho — a community built on grit, independence and a quiet sense of responsibility to neighbors and land alike.

OUR STORY

BUILT ON GRIT, NEIGHBORS AND THE LAND.

Teton Ridge Ranch Foundation was established by Thomas Tull, whose connection to the West and Idaho runs deep.  He saw in Teton Valley not just a place of remarkable beauty, but a community built on grit, independence and a quiet sense of responsibility to neighbors and land alike. Those values shaped the foundation from the beginning.

Teton Valley is a place where families still carry forward generations of knowledge. This is a community that has supported and grown its volunteerism as it has grown over the last several decades. The foundation chose to focus here because the needs are real and the outcomes are tangible, and because Thomas calls this place home so much of the year. He recognized that supporting rural healthcare, strengthening emergency response and investing in youth programs are essential to keeping the community whole.

At its core, the Teton Ridge Ranch Foundation is grounded in the belief that strong communities are built locally but resonate far beyond their boundaries. What happens in Teton Valley matters because it reflects how local communities can support each other and succeed together. When rural communities are supported, when traditions are honored, and when people are given the tools to thrive, the result is not just local achievement. It has ripple effects on the community and its people. It is a commitment to place and people.

OUR APPROACH

A LONG VIEW FOR TETON VALLEY.

The Teton Ridge Ranch Foundation approaches its work with a long view for Teton Valley. Investments are often made over multiple years, with an emphasis on infrastructure that communities can rely on through changing conditions and growing demand. Whether that is supporting rural healthcare systems, strengthening emergency response capacity, or building out facilities that serve working families, the focus stays on projects that endure.

01

LONG-TERM INVESTMENT

Partnership is central. The foundation does not step in to replace local leadership but to stand alongside it. Counties, municipalities, nonprofits and volunteer organizations already carry the weight of service in places like Teton County, Idaho, and the goal is to reinforce that work with resources, coordination and follow-through.

02

PARTNER SELECTION

The foundation seeks partners rooted in their communities and accountable to the people they serve. Priority is given to organizations that demonstrate strong local leadership, a track record of delivery and a willingness to collaborate.

03

GEOGRAPHIC FOCUS

Its primary focus remains in the Teton Valley and the surrounding region. Rural communities in and around Teton County, Idaho, are where the foundation can have the most direct and lasting impact. These communities face real constraints, from limited healthcare access to long emergency response distances. The foundation’s geographic focus reflects both the need and the opportunity to make a difference where it counts.

  • 05

    Youth Focus

Investment in young people is essential to the future of rural communities. Programs providing opportunity, mentorship and exposure to Western traditions are prioritized.

  • 06
